The Community Resource Program provides support on a one-on-one or group basis to allow individuals to access community settings and activities. Services are available in La Crosse, Jackson, and Buffalo counties.
We'll assist as needed as you explore activities you're interested in. If you need some time to try new things, we can also help to find opportunities to build upon your interests. Individuals use this service to create opportunities to participate in many community events, such as the following:
- Going to the library to use the Internet
- Going on a hike to get some exercise
- Getting a haircut at the mall
- Going shopping at the weekly farmer's market
- Swimming at the YMCA or meeting a new friend at a YMCA activity
- Taking music lessons
- Staff might help someone make friends by assisting with introductions and interactions
- Going fishing
- Taking a class at the University, Technical College, or Art Center
- Joining a club
- Volunteering at a local organization
- Attending church or becoming involved with a committee at church
- Going to a concert
- Entering a chess competition
- Visiting a county fair or another community event
- Anything you're interested in trying!
